Castile Soap
Where to start?!
I bought my first gallon of unscented, pure Castile Soap well over a year now and still have not run out to buy the citrus scent! I bought the unscented castile soap after learning about the endocrine disrupting chemicals in the additives and scents in most mainstream products.
When I say most I mean I probably threw out hundreds of dollars worth of shampoos, conditioners, body washes, scrubs, lotions, hand soap, cleaning products, mosturizers, eczema creams, etc. Now I make most of these myself (so easily that I hardly notice it isn't "normal" anymore - until we travel that is) and at a major cost savings because I bought a gallon in bulk. Here in Alaska a gallon of this same soap costs about $110 so I do plan on purchasing online next time for even more savings.
HAND SOAP / FACE WASH
1/3 Cup Castile Soap + 2 cups water. Mix gently in a refillable foaming handsoap container and that's it!
FLOOR MOP SOLUTION
Add 1-2 Tablespoons to your boiling/hot water to mop + any essential oils (unless your soap is already naturally scented)
BODY WASH
Mix 1/3 cup Castile Soap, 1/4 Cup Oil (I prefer 100% pure Apricot or Almond Oil), 1 teaspoon Vitamin E Oil & Water to a refillable foaming soap dispenser and gently turn upside down several times to mix.
Rosemary (or other herbal) Shampoo
Mix 1/3 cup Castile Soap, 1 Tablespoon of your oil of choice (I use 100% pure Apricot or Almond Oil) & Rosemary Tea. I make the rosemary tea by boiling rosemary and water until it condenses and turns dark in color and then strain out the rosemary particles until I just have the tea. You want enough rosemary tea to replace water (and fill your container, roughly 2+cups). Mix gently in a refillable foaming soap dispenser.
